Aikijutsu / Go-Dai Bujutsu


Dynamic combat techniques for realistic self defense. Harmonizing one’s own energy with an opponent’s attack to provide a natural method of self defense without using excessive strength. Techniques are of traditional origin with modern applications. Training includes defense against armed and unarmed assailants. This system, focused around the concepts of Miyamoto Musashi’s A Book of Five Rings, utilizes punching, kicking, flipping, throwing, pressure points, bone smashing, and weapons.

Training is ongoing and new students may enroll at anytime. Training is done primarily indoors with some outdoor classes. This course also includes elements of aikido, jujutsu, ninjutsu and general weaponry.

Kendo / Iaido / Kenjutsu / Yamabushi Gekken Iai

The major emphasis of this class is International Kendo Federation Kendo and Iaido. Kendo is the way and sport of the Japanese sword, also known as Japanese fencing. Iaido is the way of drawing (and simultaneously cutting) the sword.

Kenjutsu and Yamabushi Gekken Iai are combat versions of sword use. They are based on the same principles of and designed to complement our Aikijutsu course. During this course we also practice Jodo (short staff against the sword) and the use of the Naginata (Japanese Halberd) as well as other related weapons
Wednesday & Friday 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Saturday 10:00 am - 1:00 PM

Meditation & Philosophy

This class focuses on the mental and spiritual points of our martial science. We practice meditation & relaxation, development and manipulation of body energy, energy healing, aura reading projection and cultivation of psychic potential. This course is desighned to promote health and spiritualaliy.
Although it is optional, his class is reccomended for all participants of our other classes.

This class is not an open course. We do encourage particiaption by everyone, however, there are some days that beginers may only watch and other days (very seldom) that they will not be permitted to attend.

Although this course is not religious in nature, we understand and respect that some students may have religious differences to the subject matter of this course; those students will not be required to attend.
